From Norma Rae Moments to New Horizons
And Inspiring Podcast Episodes During Times of Transition
Apologies, my dear readers, for the slight delay in writing. The past few weeks have been an absolute whirlwind of change for me, sprinkled with a few real-life Norma Rae moments.
Even though being a waitress has never been my “dream job”, for obvious reasons, I take it seriously and do truly enjoy it when the environment is healthy. So, as you can imagine, I just couldn’t help but speak up when it came to some policy changes that didn't have my fellow servers' best interests at heart at my day job.
But after spending over a year at the same restaurant—my first gig since moving to LA from NYC—I finally came to the realization that I'm no Sally Field, and I wouldn't be scoring an Oscar nomination by single-handedly battling an immovable force. So, I made the decision to seek greener pastures and landed myself a new job.
Of course, with this change came the arduous task of memorizing an entirely new menu, inside and out—wines, cocktails, allergies, and all the finicky modifications included. (Yes, sometimes, it feels like being a server requires earning a Ph.D.)
To be completely candid, navigating through even semi-turbulent change tends to put a damper on my creativity. As an actor and writer, I thrive in an environment of stability and clarity. Therefore, my wonderful readers, fear not—I would never resort to aimlessly slinging metaphorical spaghetti at the wall in the hope of appeasing your discerning palates. That's simply not my style, nor the vision I hold for “Not Enough Time.”
Throughout my creative journey, I've remained steadfast in my belief that inspiration should arise from a place of balance rather than chaos. While the notion of the “tortured artist” may possess a certain allure, I've discovered that cultivating a sense of equilibrium yields greater success, for me personally. Let me assure you, my perspective remains resolute even after this eventful expedition.
So, while I’ve begun working on a few larger pieces, I wanted to share with you a few episodes from podcasts that I’ve listened to recently that really inspired and delighted me. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

It's virtually impossible not to develop a deeper admiration for the man responsible for delivering some of the most captivating cinematic performances, portrayed by one of the few remaining true leading men in the industry. However, this engaging conversation with Matthew McConaughey demonstrates that it's entirely possible to fall even more in love with him, and with good reason.
In a world where many people tend to overlook what actors have to offer beyond their on-screen presence, we are fortunate to have the opportunity to witness the profound sincerity with which McConaughey approaches life. This dialogue reveals his unwavering commitment to both dreaming and pragmatism, underscoring his genuine passion for embracing the full spectrum of human experience.
Beyond the glitz and glamour of the film and television industry, McConaughey shines as a person who deeply cares about making a meaningful contribution to the world. Through conversation with Lex Friedman, we are granted a rare glimpse into the profound depth of his character, where he earnestly shares his thoughts on life, love, dreams, and the pursuit of authenticity.
This conversation is a testament to his unwavering dedication to living life to its fullest and serves as a reminder of the transformative power that lies within each and every one of us.
Are you tired, like I am, of the monotonous options presented in today's political landscape? The predictable choices and stale and highly divisive rhetoric have left me disillusioned, prompting me to relinquish my membership to either party. I vote now based on principles I believe in and those I actually trust.
I firmly believe that we must strive for better and demand more from our politicians and political institutions. This is why I find true inspiration in individuals such as Marianne Williamson and Robert Kennedy Jr.
They embody a fresh perspective and offer an alternative path toward true change. It's essential not to blindly accept what the mainstream media portrays about them. Instead, take a moment to delve into the rich tapestry of Robert Kennedy Jr.'s past experiences as an environmental litigator and activist and how these experiences have fueled his conviction to run for President through this nuanced and long-format conversation with Joe Rogan.
And maybe, let this serve as a powerful reminder to nurture our curiosity and critically examine the individuals we encounter in the political arena. I truly believe it's only through this approach that we can truly understand their perspectives and contribute to the evolution of our political discourse.
Two legends and LOTS of laughs.
I won't spoil the surprise by divulging too many details, as this gem of a conversation is pure gold and deserves to be experienced with unadulterated delight. Discover it blindly and immerse yourself in the sheer admiration, joy and laughter that awaits. Trust me.
